    Armstrong latest

We have a deal on the table
A season long loan with 2.5 million to pay at the end of the season
It's yet to be agreed by Newcastle also with Chapman apparently 650 thousand has been offered with a ton of clauses again this is yet to be agreed.

I hope this all turns out to be true, Robin.
If we DO get Armstrong, do you think we will still need another, more traditional centre-forward?
I'm in two minds really. TM prefers to play one No.9 and two No.10s, but Graham usually has to be replaced after an hour. It then comes down to whether Nuttall is good enough to fill that slot for 30 minutes or when Graham is injured/suspended.
I can't see us going 4-4-2 very often, so any extra striker would probably have to be content with a bit-part, which may rule out an expensive signing.

If and it's a big IF we get both then maybe a loan deal for a young premier league forward should be enough for a competitive championship squad
I feel the Chapman deal is a lot closer than the Armstrong one
Newcastle want quite a lot for a player relatively unproven at championship level let alone premiership
Under 21 international yes but we still need to be sensible.

    This is my hope also.
