    Hayden

    Breaking news
He’s apparently handed in a transfer request.
Can’t blame him if he wants more playing time.
I know he’s no world beater but we need squad players.
It wouldn’t be a problem if we replace with better.

I don't think he's very good, tbh. If Ki was his replacement I think that would be a good deal...but if Ki is Merino's replacement then we'd need someone in for Hayden.

Not sure he's ever established a role for himself here-is he a defensive midfielder, creative, better at breaking forward? Dunno. He does a little bit of all of those but not particularly well. Don't blame him for wanting away either because he's not going to get much gametime, going on last season.

Don’t talk rubbish people. Hates Rafa thinks he’s a cr&p manager.

I'd of prefered him to stay because although he doesn't seem to know his position his attitude around the club and the fact he can double into a number of positions makes him important.

Really hope whatever the family issue it turns out ok.

Exceptional circumstances always makes me think the worse though.

Squad player at best cant see what he brings to the table. It will be another one out and no one in though.

At the end of the window Charnley will say we tried really hard but couldn’t get them over the line. Probably has his press statement ready now.

cant believe we are letting these squad players go

    exceptional family reasons ??really

why do so many want away

why cant rafa keep these players happy

    merhiono
    mitro
    gayle
    ritchie

surely you would want to stay amd learn from rafa and play for a big club like us

many other managers seem to be able to keep the squad players happy

wouldnt want him anywhere near a first team place as a regular but as a squad player ,he does

still we can bring one of the youngsters up from the reserves/under23,s

As much as you'd like this to fit your anti-rafa agenda it doesn't really.

Gayle and Ritchie are both happy to stay, they've just been linked with moves elsewhere.

And yes - really for exceptional family reason. Footballers do have families and things happen so they want to be closer to them. For all we know his parents/siblings etc. could be very ill and he's worried how much he'll be able to see them when the season starts and he's up here.

I'm sure he would like to stay but family has to come first.
