    Sam Gallagher

We are fighting it out with Sheff Utd to get him back on a season long loan.

I'm hearing it's the same deal that's on the table for Armstrong, sane fee. Season long loan with a fee that rises to £2.5m at the end of the season. He is on £24k a week.

I get the feeling it's an alternative to Armstrong.

That does sound very likely. I'd be happy with either one, but if we're looking at a second Graham-type, Gallagher fits the bill better.

I think we should have both or is that too greedy?

I'd expect us to want both.

If we get both, I should think that would just about take up the whole budget (only guessing, of course). I'd still like to see Chapman too. I wonder if he might be a permanent signing, as opposed to a loan.
With those three on board, I'd be very content, but it sounds as if TM is looking beyond that.
I continue to be a bit concerned that we end up bloating the squad with players who are only there as cover in the first place. As I've said before, it would be a pity to water down last season's team-spirit.
