Have to say it was a very good tournament and an enjoyable final. France just about deserved to be crowned World Champs but plaudits go to the remarkable Croatia. Belgium perhaps deserved a final berth,but it was either of them or France were always gonna win it.
Now on to Quatar 2022,lets hope Scotland can get their act together and qualify but I'm not holding my breath.

With some of the big guns going out early kept it interesting to the latter stages that's for sure ,I was sweating bullets though with England in the semis as I had a hunch it was opening up to get to the final but first time they came up against a good team they were a bit naive.
They have some cracking players like Kane but the media do my box in with the Its coming home pish...
Quatar 2022 for Scotland not sure tbh were a team everyone else wants to get in the draw sad but true.
After visiting a mate in Abu Dhabi couldn't think of a more unsuitable location for a football tournament the heat is oppressive.

Positives;

The tippy tappy stuff didn't win.

Most teams tried to attack.

The huge south American travelling supports.

Ronaldo taking on spain almost almost handedly.

VAR was reasonably successful.

Tackling was almost allowed again.

Negatives;

Playacting.

Players going down holding their head to get play stopped.

The itv and BBC pundits. Lineker, Wright and shearer particularly annoying.

Coming home nonsense.

Refs not playing the correct amount t of injury time.

Politicians, royalty and random z list tv personalities suddenly pretending to be interested in football.

Had to laugh at Shearer saying they had “run out of adjectives” to describe one particular player. He runs out of adjectives after ‘superb’, ‘brilliant’ and ‘fantastic’ and just repeats them
