Harkins has always impressed me even back as far when he played for Partick Thistle and Dundee. Over the last few seasons he was excellent against Queens for Ayr United and Greenock Morton. Dunfermline Athletic seem to be spending big bucks but I believe with Dobbie and Harkins we have a hidden gem.

    20 - Willie Dougan, 65 goals in 88 appearances, 1922 - 1925
Five goals in two games to start the season takes Dobbie within a goal of Andy Thomson now (with more than 20 appearances in hand. As he's played less games his next goal will move him into 4th and 4 more will move him about Del into 3rd. Seven more will take him into 2nd (as he'll have played less games than Bobby Black).

We are only a couple of games in and you can see the partnership building. Harkins signing has been a masterstroke. Plus Dykes we have a very dangers front line.

The only concern as we keep saying is the question marks over the defense. We don't want to be in a position where the good work at the front is being cancelled out at the back.

If only we could find another Jimmy Rutherford to play with Dobbie, 66 goals in 65 appearances, some shooting.
