Crewe once produced most of their players through their academy. The only reason they didn't have success on the field with it is because they had to sell them almost as soon as they produced good form. We wouldn't have to sell that quickly, so would benefit on the field.

But you're missing the main point, Saxo. The management-team at the club know which ones are ready; we don't.
If you look back to last season's Checkatrade Trophy, many PL clubs entered their Under-23 teams, some of them packed with youth internationals. How did they do? Abysmally (with one exception). Some of them lost against D.2 teams (often with the best players missing). There is a huge gulf between the two levels, and it's generally clear that even the cream of a Development Squad have to be introduced gradually - like Nyambe. Anyway, who would you drop from our top 15 experienced players to bring in another two or three of our U-23s?
I'm not entirely sure myself about this practice of bringing in PL youngsters either, but I think it's mainly a safety-net. The priority in Mowbray's mind will still be experienced imports.
As usual, your patience has run out very quickly. It's surely admirable that TM won't be held to ransom. To be honest, I'll be happy with two or three players with a track-record. What I certainly don't want us to do is to indulge in pay-anything desperation.
As I said, I bet the one most frustrated by the slow progress is Mowbray himself. Somehow, though, you're arguing it's his fault!

He will not respond to such a good post. Because he is clueless about football. And just doesn't contribute on here. We do get to see the posts of idiots on BRFC's through Saxo.
But he doesn't respond to valid points raised in footballing discussions. Because he simply doesn't have a clue. He'd have to think for himself on this one. So no chance.....

By 3:45 on opening day, I can see this lad annoying everyone (who is normal and into football) on here, if Rovers don't get the result he expects. He just doesn't add to anything. It got boring last season and I just didn't leave it. I don't see why he should be allowed to post utter rubbish without being told he's an idiot. He learnt nothing last season, he has learnt nothing.

The team he does support haven't signed anyone either. No side in our league have. He has failed to notice that, and the reasons behind it. He has ignored the signings made. And his favourite manager Cook also hasn't been able to do any business. But the same logic isn't applied top them. Cook doesn't play any of the young lads who Wigan produce. But he rates him highly.

Sadly, Saxo got sussed out years ago, and nobody respects his views. But he will get boring very quickly next season, as he has already.
