    Didn't Maxwell own that, he bought out Oxley Press to get the Radio or TV times contract then moved it to one of his other factories and made us all redundant. Did you know Malc Topliss?

    Yes, the fat slug bought our group, BPCC it was called then. He graced us with a visit once - he was chairman of Derby County at the time (after leaving Oxford United I think)
    He wasn't very popular.
    Radio Times came to us, it kept our presses flat out - I remember printing the cover which announced a new soap coming to BBC1 - EastEnders!
    Malc Topliss, the name rings a bell but I cant place him. Was he bindery?

    Yep, got him. He was an assistant on an M850 when I was an apprentice.
    We used to call him "Malc The Talc " for reasons unknown to me.
