    Nowt we didnt suspect already .. nice to hear it said .

    So all this bollox about bids for Plea, Townsend , etc etc are complete shoite... unless we offload mitro, ritchie, lascelles we aint getting anyone.

    Benitez must be counting down the days until he can go... and Ashley hoping he will go early to save the wages .

    How can a new season be this ****ing depressing

    Rafà talked about how by not getting targets in early like he asked for in 3 windows you don't get first choice second choice or 3rd choice

    Joselu must have been more or less his very, very last 'choice'.

    Shocking way to run a business.

    It's very depressing;

    It's pure simple math this, something is not adding up:

    Revenue
    Match day: 19 games x 51000 fans x £25 avg ticket = £24 to £25m

    Commercial from nufc accounts £25m

    Tv plus prize = £123m

    That's a total of £175m approx without player sales

    Expenditure

    30 players wages at an avg wage of £50000/week = £80m

    Can someone explain to how much operational costs for a club can be, even if it costs another £50m to run the club, that brings the total expense to £130m; so where's the surplus £40-50m??? Maybe servicing last years releagtion losses.

    But then there's players sales which are paid in installments, say over a five year period;

    Widnaldum: £25m/5years = £5m/year
    Sissoko: £35m/5years = £7m/year
    Merino: £10m (release clause must be a one off payment I assume)

    Total: 5+7+10= 22m from player revenue for this new season.

    If we sell Mitro for £20m, Mbemba for £7m, Hayden £10m and saivet for the touted £2m, that will add another £39m to the £22m already there making a total of £60m in player sales (revenue). Is rafa going to be given the same £60m to 'wheel and deal'?
