    How do other clubs survive?

Brighton have just signed a midfielder for £20M he’s their 6th signing this window ( I’m not jealous good luck to them)
Fulham have spent big and are stil sniffing around mitro.
West Ham , Man Utd , Everton, Liverpool just about everyone spends big.

We are led to believe our wage bill is £80M a year. most of our players are on roughly £40k a week.
So how do they make it work if we can’t????

Why can we only afford to loan players when every window we make a profit?
How do clubs manage to buy players £20M or £50M every season year after year and pay wages of £100k + a week and still manage to keep on trading
    Financial fair play???

What the hell is going on???
    Something isn’t right!
    Something is very wrong!

Help me understand this because I can’t work it out

It's why I put up the 'where is the money' thread. The fact that Brighton and Fulham are spending big makes a mockery of Ashley claiming poverty because of relegation.

    There's a rabbit off somewhere.

Exactly how many seasons have Fulham or Brighton and Huddersfield had in the championship
And they still out spend us.

But Liverpool spent £75M on Virgil van dyke and god only knows what wage he’s on.
They have a truly impressive squad .
I know they invested Coutinho money wisely but there wage bill must be really huge if ours is £80M a year.
How do they do it ?
How come we are are scavenging on scraps?
Loans and players no other club wants?
Buying sh1te instead of investing in our future

Ultimately, we all know the answer, sadly.

Ashley is a selfish, greedy and vindictive businessman who cares about nothing more than making money for himself and never mind the cost to anyone else.

He's basically got a cash cow which he is intent on milking dry for as long as he can or until it dies. He's decided that progressing us as a club will cost him more than he's prepared to invest so he's gambling on keeping us in the Prem with as little investment as possible.

His plan has failed twice and it will fail again-if not this season then next.

And while we go along like this, clubs we used to be close to or on the coat tails of our light years ahead and the list of clubs overtaking us in the ambition stakes is growing ever longer and more depressing.

    It's a fucking disgrace.

We over spent when we went down
Leaving us with to much dross on high wages and long contracts

Our wage bill in the fizZy was over 78% of turnover

It will take a couple of seasons to get rid of that loss

Brighton and those that came up with us will now. E seeing the. Enefits of promotion and staying up
Comparing our spending to manures Liverpool etc surely doesn't need explaining

Ashley had to guarantee we went straight back up so HAD to overspend because of his mistakes. Because Rafa ultimately had him over a barrel he will have very reluctantly have agreed the spend, but instead of thanking Rafa for doing the job asked of him he gave him little to spend in either transfer window last season and in fact taking the p1ss of a well respected manager in public through not even responding to his requests either private or public for appropriate funding to make a fist of it. We then went way beyond expectations in the first season back, after little investment, he shuts the door in his face AGAIN this summer hiding behind an alleged £90m debt. Ashleys a feckn narcissistic fraud of a man.

They all have owners who are bothered about the football club or the city
maybe there owners don't have a company what they can benefit from is sports direct
Maybe they get money from advertising
Maybe their tills in club shops are club shop tills
Maybe cos their owner backs their manager .
