Still lacking height & physical presence

Yes, its early days, although time is ticking abit, and it was the first pre-season game / match fitness etc. without Jansson we lack any real dominance in air, both defending & attack. Take Ayling out of last night team, average in height at best - hopefully Bielsa will recruit in this area, but who knows
Keep going back to the Jansson / Bartley combo, strong at both ends of pitch, need something similar asap.
For me, Hernandez / Saiz / Alloiski - all three in same team, bit to much of a luxury, would prefer to see Baker in place of one of them
Fingers crossed new recruits will appear, but unless the balance is right, when playing some of the leagues more " robust " sides, Millwall / Stoke etc, a repeat of last seasons maulings is more than likely.

    Just read on BBC

Brentford have accepted a bid from an unnamed club for former Netherlands Under-21 forward Florian Jozefzoon.

The 27-year-old ex-PSV Eindhoven man has been with Brentford since January 2017, making 62 appearances.

"Personal terms and a medical have yet to be completed," the Bees said on Twitter on Tuesday.

Championship rivals Derby County and Leeds United have both been linked with a move for Jozefzoon, who scored seven goals in 39 league games last season.

so 50/50 chance unless it's some other unnamed club, as Leeds and Derby are the named clubs?

recruitment so far this summer has been very poor. 2 loans in not good enough this close to season. wheres our commanding CB and goal scoring CF?? need at least 5 more starters if we're serious about promotion. too many players not strong enough for championship.

No way will we be in the mix this season with this current squad..at least 5 more of what you mentioned to even give us a slight sniff of a play-off spot!

Starting to look like radders and his merry men don't really care about getting out of this division!
