MM can't afford to wait too long. If there are clear signs that we are not at the races after three-four games into the league campaign, the Shabs will be cancelling his Dundonian lessons. Otherwise MM will start to get the 'Are you ST in disguise' treatment from the fans. MM cannot afford us not to be competing for the Championship title.

    Several reasons

Because I am sure some players etc read the board and can be affected directly (some may argue that players shouldn’t be affected but players are no different from the rest of us - some will take criticism to heart (especially younger players), others won’t).

I think it also affects the general morale of fans at games. When the attitude is so “down” fans will get edgy from the first mistake and that translates directly onto the pitch making some players more nervous creating a downward spiral of confidence.

For me confidence is about 60% of football - when that goes most teams struggle.

I've asked before but I thot the chairman and BODs were huge football fans. Surely they cannot enjoy watching the style of football produced over Laslos reign.!

If, as rumours are to be believed, there is already a sour atmosphere around the place, surely MM must sense that and needs to do something about it otherwise all the positive changes made so far will count for nothing..

IMO Csaba will get until end of year regardless of results. MM has made a huge decision and the team is basically Csabas. Changing manager is not going to be on his priority list even if it means mid table. I dont agree nor like Csaba. They will stick by him as long as they can. I hope its irrelevant and we start winning but have my doubts.

    This ^^^^^^^^^^
Unfortunately, we have given a budget to Laszlo to spend and he has made this team his own.....there ain't many managers that would want to come in and take on someone else's work at this early stage.
Laszlo is definitely NOT the man for the job, his tactics and eye for a player are shocking! We are so one paced and predictable that every team will fancy their chances against us.
We have unfortunately made our bed now and the manager will be here until at least the end of the year.

Can't agree with the last two posts, end of the year?? If it's anything like the last two games for the duration of August alone, fan pressure will increase very fast

A half decent manager would do a much better job very quickly, no way it would drag on to end of the year

Is our coach far too full now that we have everyone living nearby? Thus the search for another one .............................

Not a fan of ex-players being managers but Robbie Neilson sounds good. Stuart McCall, would he come now that the snake has slithered away?

For me the next manager has to get rid of the sitting defensive midfielder(s). Lone striker is pish and we need to sign a targetman. Along with a centre-half who will complement Frans. How about getting a winger to hit a bye-line and put in a meaningful cross, once in a while?

Watching United with no pace, directness or impact upfront is not the "United Way" to utter a phrase that is getting banded about that supposedly means something.......

Nothing to do with if its the right thing to do. Id shoot him now if you like. MM will not do anything. Ok if everyone protests and walks out when 3-0 down at home to Ayr who knows.

Anyone up for walking the walk!!?????

This is all so reminiscent of previous displeasure with our managers where the supporters are so disenchanted that they wish the results to go so badly (3-0 down to Ayr at home) that sacking the manager is the only option. Well I hate to remind you but that strategy isn't working. So we get Neilson after Lazslo loses to Alloa & Elgin but then at Xmas we're 4th in the league 12 points behind Partick. But that should allow David Hopkin to come in for the 2nd half of the season & miss out on the play-offs. Easy to see where the club is shopping for managers, NEXT....
