    OT-Another Iconic Place Gone

The Malt Cross in St.James street.
Staff turned up for work and was told they've lost their jobs, it gone into liquidation. 1.4 mill spent on a refurbishment a few years ago.

Poorly managed Trust & venture - not the first time they have refurbished the building and then it has gone bust.

Everytime I've been in the Malt Cross it has been packed? Surely with decent management, that would be a goldmine?

Well after 30 years you would have thought that living next door to Nottingham’s oldest nightclub (especially for the younger generation) on the busiest night area in the city might make you think twice about like living there?

    Just wondering?

They also said that it had never been particularly busy and the not-for-profit Christian business relied on a few popular events such as beers and carols around Christmas.

That's 'Christians' for you, closing down without warning the day before staff were due to get paid. Jesus said it was OK, apparently.
