"Don't wish it was easier, wish you were better"[/QUOTE]
Totally agree with that - I would just add the word 'quality' at the end of the phrase.
I know there is still time for us to make 1 or 2 'marquee' signings but its starting to look (and feel) that the credentials of Biesla as a coach are gonna be severely tested.
All I can say is good luck..think yer gonna need it!

Eleven days left and nothing happening. Ambitious clubs get their business done early and get the players bedded in. Thought this season we were going to use the Wolves blueprint of last season and go for it, certainly haven't seen any sign of that as yet. Lost out to Derby on the Dutch player probrobly over wages. If the owner believes we are going to even make the top six with the players in the present squad he is dreaming, we need to get real before its to late and another wasted season stranded in this league awaits.
If what you and others say about the squad is true Mick, I suspect it's already too late. There aren't many of the "proven" type of player left that everyone has been saying we need, so we get the current nonsense of us being "connected" with some cast off from Nacional (if you believe the meedja!).
We.might get some newbies, who knows, but what quality, what effect (good or bad) they might have on a squad that has had a month or so of being coached as a unit, again, who knows.
Not saying anyone is happy with what we have, but maybe the devil you know is better than the one you don't?
Realistic Tich, but yes, hopeful that despite the challenges that Bielsa has faced, he's still with us because what he saw and what he set out to do is still achievable in his view. He won't have come just to earn a (very large) crust, he's not that kind of man, and whilst he might not hanker after coaching a national side, I'm fairly sure he wants to succeed in a foitballing sense, and be seen to do so.
We might get hammered against Stoke, but if we perform, fight, and go down by the odd goal out of a thriller filled with goals, it wouldn't be the worst start to a season.
In that case you can't have been very realistic in the past mate.
It's not so much what you are saying - more the calm reasonable tone you seem to have adopted since the World cup finished.... something I haven't seen from you before.
I might start posting again....
Currently there's two weeks to the start of the season, we've made no new signings bar two loanees, we've got potential signings pretty much sticking two fingers up to us, we've got a maverick manager trying an untested style in a league he isn't familiar with; if this isn't a season with the words 'car crash' and 'relegation' flashing in bright lights above Elland Road then I don't know what is.
