    Fao islay

Islay re your expert golf knowledge.

My two main golf bets for the open are winning score to be 16 under or better (5/2) and 37 players or more to finish under par (11/8)......chances of success?

    Hi Returnofrros.
    No pressure then.
First of all I must advise that I am not a betting man and you never see many poor bookies.
I assume that the top 80 players plus ties still qualify for the final two rounds of the 2018 Open Championship.
I have just checked the pressure charts of a website called magicseaweed.com and the winds are forecast to be light with the breeziest day likely to be this Sunday but it will still be relatively calm. https://magicseaweed.com/UK-Ireland-...?type=pressure
Therefore it is possible due to the rock hard fairways, tame rough and watered greens that at least one player will finish 16 under or better at the end of the 72 holes.
Thank goodness you are not asking me to predict the winner as I do not have a clue.

I no longer play golf because I was fed up early starts at the golf and slow play.

New rules will help slow play.
