I wonder what the problem was this time.....player is a gambler, does not fit the Burnley profile or simply wanted a decent wage for an experienced PL player. We would be better looking for any dregs in the Championship or better still in the teams that have been just relegated from the Championship.

I hear it was because he wanted the car parking space currently taken by Jeff Hendrick.

Looks like Alfie Mawson is a non-starter also because West Spam are also interested.

Thanks. Still no one else saying this, but I guess they’ll be looking for more than we will pay.

We need to spend some at some point Oc I mean this will be the second time around with plenty of brass in the bank.
Mee will be leaving anyway I think as the contract talks gone quiet again and will we really let him go for nothing this year end.
I’m a bit concerned tbh as I don’t think Dyche will wear it forever, he says the right things but I’m not sure he’ll stay if it’s going to be a fight for money all the time.

Merseysiders Everton are rivalling Premier League duo Burnley and Brighton, and Championship big hitters Leeds United, for Martin Hamer the Oldham centre-back, who has been likened to ex-Latics centre-back James Tarkowski.

Football Insider report the quartet are all set to lodge offers before the 9 August cut-off for Hamer, who is 18 and regarded by his suitors as a “potential star in the making”.
