    Longstaff

Great to see a youngster making progress, it really is - but...

Has his loan move been delayed simply because we are not signing any new players? How good is he - has anyone seen him play enough to have a good impression of what he's like?

He looked decent against St Pats and he looked decent in his games for Blackpool last season, in the highlights i saw.

I have high hopes for him. He has also seemingly been kept very grounded by his parents in regard to attitude. His dad has him out setting up stuff for his (the dads) ice hockey team etc. Not allowing anything to go to his head.

I am concerned that he's being kept because we're going to have to fight to be able to sign players however, i rate him and wouldn't mind him staying to be around first team squad.

His stats from his Blackpool time are very good too!

Yes, I'd like for him and Woodman to be part of the first team set up, even if it means no more Darlow and Elliot (like them both, but they have no future here IMO).

    Agreed.

Although i'd rather Woodman was out playing.

As a keeper he'll get little chance here at the minute whereas Longstaff i think would.

Very true, but a few cup games here might do the trick. If Dubravka falls short of form for some reason, that would be his chance to step in. But you're right, a full season of playing full time at a decent level would be ideal for him.
