Mine was the same as the post for first football hero, my first visit to St James' Park and a couple of weeks later to Redhugh park to watch Gateshead.

Roker Park came I think the following season as my other Uncle the younger one was a Muckem fan.

The uncle who took me to St James' Park was called Arthur Gallagher and all his life from being a lad at school he was nicknamed Hughie and oddly enough when he moved to Carr Hill in Gateshead he lived next door to Hughie Gallacher.

He two daughters, my cousins, and their husbands are life time season ticket holders.

Mid sixties at St. James's Park with an uncle, blown away by the crush of fans in the stands. We played Spurs with Danny Blanchflower as their captain.

SJP in the 1950s but I had been to a few non league grounds earlier including watching Newcastle Juniors and A team at the North Road ground Wallsend which the Toon owned.
