Thread: Game today

    That’s a relief then then.
Much better than 1066 turned up.

I thought there were around 1500 at today's match - there was a lot happening elsewhere with the Open in Carnoustie, Rewind in Scone and the Fake Festival at Camperdown.

Today United played like an average team in the Championship - they did not play like a team capable of either winning or finishing runners up in the league - they played like an average championship team, no more, no less.

I suspect that Ross County will also struggle against Arbroath and Alloa as there is not a big gap between these two leagues and don't be surprised in County get beat from one of these teams.

The problem is, United don't look like they are title contenders - they look similar to last year, with no play maker and no flair.

A few of the players did look half decent today, but to win the league requires something a little special which United don't have on the evidence so far.

This could be a long season ahead.

Bang on the money - post the Fyvie injury that is. TBF we all saw that it was coming together last year up until we lost Fyvie and Fraser within the space of a fortnight. We genuinely were unlucky with injuries last season (Lewis Morgan saw out the whole season for example). My point is that I suspect CL is chucking all the money on red, and the red in this case is Fyvie. He is now by far and away the best player in this league, but he is gambling on him a. Performing and b. Staying fit. That's how I see it anyway. Make of that what you will.

No doubt FFFFS will make a huge difference as would a fully fit and all cylinders Keatings.
But and the big but is that Csaba even with these players in the team and on form is not motivating the full 11 and setting them up right. Some have said he never lost the dressing room because he never had it and seems there might be some truth in that.

Yeah all 1659 of you minus whatever the mighty Wasps brought...last man out switch off the lights...

Pete there's loyalty and just ****ing insanity. If your gonna pay £15/£20 a head to watch that pish then I'm afraid you are insane.

You take the highs and lows with football and by golly gosh we are as low as it can get right now. It's truly impressive what can be accomplished through poor staff recruitment, on and off the field that is.

Surely that wasn't the price to get in today?
