Nolan’s starting eleven

Sat watching the game against Leicester on Saturday and thought does Kevin Nolan have any real idea of which his starting eleven will actually be come the 4th of August
I can’t squeeeze the players available into an initial 11.
Gunna be a fight for places but then that makes it healthy doesn’t it?

Stead for Dennis ( not sure he's ready yet ). Not convinced by Thomas at all yet but we were up against Derby and Leicester so he gets in my team , just.

That forward line could cause havoc. Dennis isn't fit yet and Stead didn't work for us last year, let's not forget we fell short, so why not give the young lad his chance?

Yeah, it's the Hewitt bit that I thought would be controversial, but we have so many CMs and he's clogging midfield up by taking a place. He is, after all, a right back who we play in midfield. I thought Tootle was poor on Saturday, and as others have said, you can only go on what you see.

I agree, most people must be including Dennis based on his performances last season. All we've seen of him in a Notts shirt is 20 minutes against Leicester where I think he touched the ball once. I doubt Nolan will give him 90 minutes at Luton, so I would be surprised if he didn't start with Stead* against Colchester.
