Remember when the press (and various cretins on footymad) tried to bring up his previous criminal record!!.
What was the point in that eh, and I ask just how bad could it have got if Roy hadn't done what he did that night.

From Barnsley to Millwall here, I raise my glass to Roy for the bravery he showed that night, well done mate.

Thanks Acido for what you said , I'm sure Roy would appreciate your words. The only criminal record he has was for common assault and he had a suspended sentence. But that should not make any difference in the Forces if someone gets an award for bravery no one asks about their dodgy past, it's awarded for their actions at the time. Roy has come out and said, " I feel let down, but I did not do it for a medal however a thank you would have been nice".

I've got to admit that as didn't know who Roy was I decided to look a little deeper into why he wasn't awarded a medal for what he did, maybe it was his bravado rather than his bravery and he got sussed out but I've got to admit that it's unbelievable that he hasn't been awarded some kind of medal for what he did that day and I can only presume it being down to his political views,it's astounding how this has been allowed to happen,if a policeman had done the exact same thing he would have been awarded the highest honours and rightly so
"**** you I'm Millwall" shows what kind of person he was on that day,he's a braver man than me that's for sure 😎

Weren't the terrorists wielding knives or swords or something, and Im sure there would have been a few more fatalities if he hadn't stood up to them like he did.
