    Where do we stand?

Douglas? Are we going to get that one or bottle it again?

Hear we are after Bamford now instead of Vydra. I've never understood the hype around Bamford, he is a striker who doesn't score and looks anonymous in most of the games he plays!

Anything else on the grapevine folks? Personally think we will see Foden + 2 others join on loan after transfer deadline once PL clubs have got their squads sorted.

Still think we need two strikers (Vydra/Hernandez + another), two actual wingers (Foden + another), a left wing back (Douglas), at least one centre back just for the inevitable injuries/suspensions to Jansson and then I reckon we need 2 more squad players just to ensure we aren't left short.

Think we will make 4 more signings 2 permanent and 2 loans. Douglas, Vydra, Foden and one more but think we need 6/7 players in.

So Vydra pictured in Leeds city centre at 4pm, Douglas about to do his medical, and numbers 3, 5 and 9 being left available in the new squad list.

The following not given numbers: Vurnon Anita, Ouasim Bouy, Eunan O'Kane, Yosuke Ideguchi, Luke Murphy, Hadi Sacko nor Caleb Ekuban.

Are things looking up? Certainly seems like what we've been hoping for is now finally happening.

Jez seems to of summed it up perfectly where we are up to . Don't think there is much in the Bamford link bit what do I know.

Seems I'm not the only one hitting refresh every 5 mins on newsnow

Amazing how Klich has come back in from the cold . Been reasonably impressed with him in pre season

My uncharacteristic silence on the subject of transfers has been broken (at least in terms of specific players) only at the mention of Vydra and Hernandez. I know full well that player loyalty of the sort we saw from Madeley and others of that era is long gone, but.......neither of those names players are true PL quality, and neither is worth the money they have (reportedly) been asking for and neither should be employed in any capacity at Leeds United.

I'm sure that Bielsa has worked hard to create a cohesive, "work for your team mate" team dynamic with those who remain from last season. Bringing in some big-headed, over-paid prima donnas will undo much of the work done so far. The greedy cnuts can go elsewhere to sell themselves.

Douglas is different, and the fact that Wolves seem not to see him playing a part next season is just a further indication that loyalty in football is very hard to find (If he does come to Leeds, maybe he can add to that team ethos I mention, who knows?)

I agree that both Vydra and Henandez have come accross as absolute mercenaries.

Might feel a backlash if they sign and don't do the business from the get-go. However, if they do start banging them in for fun will anyone's really give a monkeys? Just hoping the protracted negotiations means we won't be getting completely "Seth Johnsoned"

Also agree Vydra being top championship quality but not PL standard . He's already been there a couple of times and never really proved himself . Perhaps he only serves as a means to an end albeit an expensive one .

I think Bamford may have been used here as leverage

Also amazing that all the dross that every person on here said was dross has been shipped out or is about to be.....the only players left are the ones we all wanted, every player that's gone or about to be gone are the ones we've slated all season......who says us fans know nothing?

Would be the icing on the cake if we got him for a reduced fee now, with Derby supplementing a portion of his wages
