    Considine will be playing for us when the plates shift and our closest neighbours are the Soloman Islands.

    No chance, still more than 350 appearances less than the Greatest

    Considine is number 6 (435) with the top 5 being Miller (797), McLeish (692), Clark (594), McKimmie (561) and Leighton (535). Given he is 31 and in final year of contract I doubt he will make top 5

    Aye ... the only wye he will reach top 5 would be ...

    a) Acknowledge his lack of pace and dramatically develop his game readin, positional sense and leadership skills, and reclaim the left centre back spot ( sorry tae fear ye, but a did use the word 'dramatically') ... cos his legs winna last as a left back and haein tae run back fae forward positions ... even as the boss's pet. .... or, a better option ...

    b) Challenge Lewis for first choice keeper

    Even then, we're lookin at a shiτload o' friendlies and a heap o' 'successful' cup replays, and some extended Euro cup runs, season upon season, afore eez legs go as bandy as Jim Leighton's

    Burnley today drew 0-0 at home to top flight French team Montpellier (10th in Ligue 1 last season).

    Burnley (4-4-2): Legdzins: Bardsley, Dunne, Long, Taylor; Brady, Hendrick, O'Neill, Walters; Vokes, Barnes.

    Only Hendrick of the 11 starters at Pittodrie started today. Vokes, a sub at Pittodrie, also started but none of Thursday's other 10 starters featured against the French side.

    Robbie Brady, back after 8 months out with a cruciate injury, limped off with a hamstring strain after 41 minutes while Ashley Barnes, who missed the first leg because of blistered feet, played 60 minutes and should be in contention to play in the second leg.

    Your X1 will be;

    Heaton/Lindegaard
    Lowton Tarkowski Mee Ward
    Lennon Cork Westwood Gudmundsson
    Wood & Vokes/Barnes
