Ive never really had a problem with them to be honest Alto.
But then all of a sudden when they get taken over by a wealthy owner, and they eventually start to win matches and go up to the top Division.... wow where do all those extra thousands of 'life long' fans mysteriously appear from all of a sudden eh ?.
Ive heard some of them talk (in one of the Wetherspoons pubs in Hudds) and their Rugby league fans can be just as badly informed and ignorant as the footy fans.

Just as a matter of (not much) interest, I saw the reformed Stanley's first ever game at the Crown Ground. It would be around 1970, I think it was in the Lancashire Combination and I'm pretty sure it was against Formby. Ironically while Stanley have prospered Formby went out of existence about four years ago.

The last time I went to watch Stanley I never saw them, Burnley were away somewhere and Alex Macdonald was on loan for their opponent's Plymouth Argyle. I thought I'd go and see how he was getting on, but when I got there I couldn't believe the admission prices, this was D2 but it was £12 for coffin dodgers like me. I only had a tenner on me, so I drove back home and watched the racing on C4 instead.

In the late game Southampton putting Burnley next to bottom, currently beating Manure 2-0 at home, still 70 minutes left though.
