    League placing predictions

To be stickied and reviewed for those brave/foolish enough...

    1. Celtic
    2. Rangers
    3. Hearts
    4. Hibs
    5. Aberdeen
    6. Kilmarnock
    7. Dundee
    8. St Johnstone
    9. St Mirren
    10. Motherwell
    11. Livingston
    12. Hamilton

I think the top 1 is a definite, as are 2-5 in whatever order. I think the only thing you can say for certain about 6-12 is Kilmarnock won't go down and Hamilton will not be sixth...but beyond that anyone (including ourselves) could take practically any of those places.

I admire the optimism but there is no way that squad we have is making the top six. The five city clubs with the exception of Dundee are nailed on for top six given their squads and strength in depth and I think it's between Kilmarnock and St.Johnstone for the remaining spot. The bottom half of the table is going to be very tight and each and every one of the sides will flirt with the drop/playoffs at some point I reckon. As it was last year it will come down to picking up wins at crucial times and beating our nearest rivals in the table.

Unless we somehow repeat last season's Cup exploits then a grim season lies ahead.

TBH ... I've no interest in where the other 11 will finish - couldn't give a to55. When we finish 6th that'll do for me.
