Check how much Queens paid last year for Policing Palmerston

    Most expensive in the championship

This really is the most bizarre situation I've ever seen!

Surely there should be parity for all clubs, - especially as Police Scotland is now responsible for policing the entire country?

How can Dundee Utd whose average home attendance was five times more than Queens have a police budget of about a third of that for Palmerston?

    Championship

    Brechin City – £0.00
    Dumbarton – £0.00
    Dundee United – £4,672.80
    Dunfermline Athletic – £5,642.40
    Falkirk – £6,280.80
    Greenock Morton – £9,783.60
    Inverness Caledonian Thistle – £0.00
    Livingston – £0.00
Queen Of The South – £13,287.60
    St Mirren – £7,036.80

The figures are ridiculous. Surprised Hewitson hasn’t done something about it after yet more major losses last season.

Yes totally bizarre. The notion that we can spend £13K+ and others much less and some none at all raises some serious questions. Livi with zero cost is very odd given they were promoted through the play-offs and thus had some high profile games. I`d like to know who makes the decisions around this. Presumably that`s done locally. Accepting that there is a "unified" Police Scotland there must still be local input to this. Do Plod in Dumfries see our stewarding as inadequate without police back-up? What is the club`s view on this or their input around the decision making for that matter. Bizarre stuff.

there are clubs that dont use police thats why there 0 payment ,it is not law that you have to have numbers of police at your ground ,you dont need to have them atol ,clubs with 0 policing costs ,just phone the cops if needed like me or you could do ,then there is no cost to the club .queens must have chosen themselfs to have such high standard policing .

The clubs with no Police costs must use more stewards then. Those costs aren’t included in that report
