I don’t think I have ever seen anyone smile as much as GMS.

I've now boycotted the Spar on Rosemount Viaduct ( joining a long list of Record related boycotts)

    The reason?

I go in for my Sunday morning white baps for my weekly bacon softie breakfast.

" Would you like a free paper?" (sunday mail)
Some people say yes, obviously I never do.

    "No I would rather die"

    So what do they do?
They ring the paper through and throw it in the bucket.
Then put a refund through the till.

Is that good enough for me?
    Is it f'uck

"I don't want that rag on my receipt"
" But you haven't been charged for it"

    etc. etc. etc.

I've tried explaining to them that they are cheating the circulation figures therefore defrauding the advetisers but no, they don't understand.

I've tried just saying not to do it, if you do it I'm not paying and you might find a couple of white baps up your arse.

    But no

"My manager says I have to do it"

So, rather than have my now weekly Sunday argument I get in the car, drive to Thains and buy them direct without the argument.

Sponsor young girls to pee in public?

The Optical Warehouse is a family business.

    Nah

That was a Spar on St. Swithin Street or thereabouts.

A crime indeed to lose that thread, I used to read it occasionally if I needed cheering up.
