No deal agreed between BBC and some clubs, including Sheffield Wednesday, meaning no live commentary on their games.

Trying to get more money or just sheer incompetence? Neither would be a shock

Wednesday won't accept 10% deal cut whereby all the others have.

It's a higher BBC decision to reduce costs so not Radio Sheffields decision I don't think.

Can't Radio Sheffield just use the comms from the local radio team covering the home team?

Could also mean more coverage on ours but then again there’s one certain presenter I detest commentating on our games. Talk about bias and you can almost tell he detests talking on our games. No names but guess who?

    Giddings?
They've lost their star player to BBC Leeds.

Spot on Hazza. If you listen closely there’s always a comment on ‘I’ve had to travel south’ or ‘I’m here to commentate on the Millers’ like there’s total resentment of him being there.

His droning non interested monotones make you feel like switching off the radio but, you have to persevere as you need the update on the teams performance. A completely different scenario when Rob Staton commentated, who was totally switched on and focused on the game.
