Thats probably the II-XVI that he will pick, given the injury situation with Huddlestone and Vydra, but I remain not enthused by the formation.
However if they were fit, how do you seem Vydra fitting in (Huddlestone for Ledley seems obvious)
I expect Carson, Wisdom, Keogh, Davies, Lowe, Bryson, Ledley, Mount, Wilson, Nugent, Lawrence. Subs Roos, Bogle, Forsyth, Johnson, Bennett, Jozefzoon and Marriott. Vydra isn't yet fit enough to train with the 1st team, Huddlestone and Thomas are injured and we have 13 more in the squad to keep happy.
I don't think Evans has had any time to bed in to get into the XVIII for the game against his former club.

Vydra? It looks like he doesn't fit in. He is a #10. A shadow striker. This 1-4-3-3 that FL seems to want to play doesn't have that role.
The same applies IMO to Martin. He just isn't mobile enough for this total football-like, fluid system that is being employed. It doesn't require a target man.
It is indeed interesting that the new manager has therefore designed his playing style to the exclusion of the previous seasons top scorer / golden boot winner.
We all wondered why FL came to a club which openly stated that they had no money, now it makes sense. I wonder if this means he has designed a Vydra less formation because he was told all along that he would be sold come what may, but circumstances have then not allowed it? Or does he just not like that type of player?
Martin is not the type of player that fits in to Frank's Plan A.
The shadow striker will be a free role that will be occupied by Lawrence, Wilson and the 2 box to box midfielders Mount and Bryson. The key is other players moving to cover advancing players.
As much as I like him this prob does leave Vydra surplus to requirements.
Over a period of a few weeks I expect Marriott to push Nugent to the bench though for now it's Nugents shirt to lose.
