I note that the classic black metal albums of the 90s have been overlooked so far. Where to begin, eh? Darkthrone alone offering 4+. And the greatest ever? Mayhem's 'De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas'? Burzum's 'Hvis Lyset Tar Oss' or 'Filosofem'? Even at the level below the greatest, there's way too many to mention, whole threads should be started for the work of Ulver, Marduk, Solefald, Forgotten Woods, Immortal, Emperor and Enslaved.

For non-black metal, A Tribe Called Quest and Sonic Youth did some brilliant stuff in the 90s. Wu Tang Clan, Massive Attack and Radiohead already mentioned.

I'll tell you my "Maria McKee's dressing room with half of Texas and Bruce Brody" story some day ( unless I already have.......a tale I've dined on for near three decades).

    An*l C*nt - I Like it When You Die

No awards for musicality but surely the greatest song titles and lyrics ever:

    Pottery’s Gay

    [chorus:]
    pottery's gay, pottery's gay [x4]

you could'nt afford college, you took a night class
you made a clay dildo, and shoved it up your ass

    [chorus]
