Since 2000 was the final year of the 1990s, there having been no year zero, and the actual factual millenium beginning on 01.01.2001, I'm suggesting Ryan Adams's debut Heartbreaker. The follow-up Gold is even better, but is disqualified by dint of its 2001 release date. He went through a period of releasing EVERYTHING he wrote, with the quality control fader at zero, and his form dipped a bit as a result. He's been a **** too, but his talent is bigger than Ash Taylor's Pumas.

I know... but for me, Americana landed at the right time. Smash wasnt an album i listened to or appreciated until after Conspiracy of One was released. I was 12 when it came out but 16 when Americana came out. I remember hanging with my mates and listening to Americana on repeat for what felt like months. Still listen to it to this day.

Every single one of those choices is wrong. Would you like to hear why or just take my word for it?

Neither. There's a guy that was a couple of years above me at school that would have said the same thing. It's a generation thing.

Do you want to hear my almost reliable fact that Morrissey should have been part of Yewtree?

Burzum's 'Hvis Lyset Tar Oss' or 'Filosofem'? Even at the level below the greatest, there's way too many to mention, whole threads should be started for the work of Ulver, Marduk, Solefald, Forgotten Woods, Immortal, Emperor and Enslaved.
    Here you go:

    Death Metal
Morbid Angel - Altars of Madness - EDIT: Disqualified as released in '89

    Deicide - Deicide
    Obituary - Cause of Death
    Death - Spiritual Healing
    Incantation - Onward to Golgotha
    Cynic - Focus
    Atheist - Unquestionable Presence
    Demilich - Nespithe
    Ildjarn - Det Frysende Nordariket
    Vader - The Ultimate Incantation

    Black Metal
Burzum - Det Som Engang Var
Burzum - Hvis Lyset Tar Oss
Rotting Christ - The Mighty Contract
    Darkthrone - Transilvanian Hunger
Emperor - In the Nightside Eclipse
    Immortal - Diabolocal Fullmoon Mysticism
    Bethlehem - Dark Metal
Mutiilation - Remains of a Ruined, Dead, Cursed Soul
    Bathory - Blood, Fire Death
    Summoning - Dol Guldur
    Gorgoroth - Pentagram
Graveland - Thousand Swords (too controversial for some)

It’s not a generation thing. Different Class is nowhere near the album His n Hers is, no matter what year you’re born in.

You’ll get no argument from me that Mozz is a wrong ‘un but I doubt he’s that wrong. Interesting that the people who don’t like him, always attack his ***uality first. I think they fancy him

I don't like him but I like his music. He's a bit like Pete Townshend.
