    Aberdeen v Rangers (match thread)

League campaign starts against the new club from Govan.
I think we will line up ultra defensively having our players sitting very deep and quite possibly see a 0-0 end result.
My guess at Dodgy Del’s team
    Lewis
    Hoban
    Devlin
    McKenna
    Considine
    Ball
    Shinnie
    Gleeson
    Ferguson
    Mackay-Steven
    Cosgrove

I would have thought McGinn instead of Gleeson Red D ong apart from that you are probably right on the money

Who knows how we’ll line up.
Fatigue &/or injury might mean 2 or 3 changes?

    Lewis
    Hoban Devlin McKenna Considine
    Ball
    McGinn Ferguson Shinnie GMS
    Cosgrove

Subs; Cerny, Campbell, Gleeson, Forrester, Wright, May & Anderson

Don’t see where the goal(s) are going to come from.

    0-1

I am guessing McGinn is not fully fit (carrying an injury) and that is why I guess this team.

He wasn’t injured the other night.

I personally thought that McGinn played like a man who knew he didn't have the pace to get by the defenders and had to rely on his "experience" to creat space for himself.

He played well but there were times he could have ran at the defence and he didn't. Maybe I'm doing him an injustice.

McGinn was one of our best performers on Thursday, there are a few people who won’t like to admit that because they don’t like the look of his face and can’t wait to say he needs a kick up the erse.

Usually the same folk who think a certain player is fine against most teams in the league, seems like a nice guy etc etc.

I didn't think he was up to much last week but was a lot better in the second leg.

Hopefully he tears the Hun apart tomorrow.
