I can’t believe how close you’re getting Piglet. The visitor centre on the slopes of the Kilauea volcano? No the answer was the osprey-watch on the slopes of Skiddaw. Close but no cigar.

Anyway, this week’s average score was 6.9, a bit better than normal. Top scorers were at the very top and the very bottom, so well done to Howoldboy and Psaw who is keeping to his promise of chasing down Chalky. It may be Alf he catches first though. He was one of this week’s worst performers with only 3 points along with Mullen who slips to 4th. This is a second poor week for Alf; in the last fortnight he has slipped from 8th to 16th so a bit of studying may be needed if he is to avoid Psaw’s clutches.

Other main changes to positions were Acido who slips three spots to 14th, also Cayambe and Crusha up three to 11th. In fact last week’s bottom five all scored well totalling 44 between them.

This week just served to demonstrate how you can’t sit back and coast in this league. A couple of bad weeks and you’re toast, eh Alf?

Haven’t we been to Seattle before Piglet? Anyway, you’re giving me the needle now so no point.

Well done to Psaw who was the only one of us that managed double figures this week. A creditable 10 helped keep the weekly average up at 4.7 points. Not that Pete or Southblue helped, only managing 1 apiece.

There’s now a battle beginning at the bottom for the wooden spoon between 4 players, and the top 2 can’t seem to decide from week to week whether they want points or not. Mullen and Piglet are keeping in touch, but a timely sprint might be in order to keep them in contention. That leaves the 9 in the middle - separated by only 4 points - trying to decide if it’s up or down they have in mind.

Anyway, the mid-week games and yesterday’s results caused only minor changes to the table, apart from Southblue who is down 3 positions from last weekend. Tscchh.
