Leeds are likely to be without centre-back Pontus Jansson, who only returned to training this week after World Cup duty with Sweden.
A foot injury has ruled out midfielder Adam Forshaw for up to two months, while Bailey Peacock-Farrell will start in goal under new boss Marcelo Bielsa.
Stoke could hand out several debuts, with Benik Afobe, Tom Ince and James McClean all expected to start.
Wales defender Ashley Williams could be on the bench after signing on Thursday.

For once we seem to have a coach who doesn't talk in sound bites and platitudes. I would like to see him "do a Pochetino" and learn English, but if he continues to "talk" via an interpreter and says the right things, I'll cut him some slack!
Why the feck is pontus not playing, the world cup finished weeks ago FFS. Was he injured?
Lots of draws today in the Championship, a win tomorrow for Leeds please.
According to Flashscores they have Douglas down as unlikely to play because of a knock! Anyone else heard that he's injured?
