"Dwight Gayle has signed his season-long loan to West Brom this luchtime, according to Sky sources.

Sky Sports News await confirmation from both clubs on the swap deal that would see Salomon Rondon joining Newcastle.

Rondon had his medical on Tyneside yesterday. We understand Newcastle will pay a £2m loan fee for their part of the deal. There is no obligation to buy"

    A positive move.

This guy is a finisher, the polar opposite to Rondon.

Is J Rod the right foil for him, personally I think not.

I’d tell Burnley they can have J Rod if we get Chris Wood and £5m in return.

Woody is a proper CF and intelligent with it.

Wood and Gayle would be the most potent strike force in the Champ imo.

It'd be more likely a swap with the £5M going the other way

Its only ludicrous to the point that we need another Rondon type player again now As we will be far too one dimensional
