My feeling on this is support the players.

Any form of rebellion against the regime should be encouraged - whatever guise it takes.

That can be said about corrupt owners as well.If a player wants more he is out of order.When owners are taking from clubs it's "their club they can do what they want".

It's an interesting view but semantically it is not an apple for an apple, it's apples and pears. MA owns it and legally unfortunately, because of weaknesses with the FA etal he gets away doing with what he wants. Never see any sanctions from the football association on any of these maverick owners.

The players are contracted and have very little control on bonus aspects, I suspect, unlike, say if there were in a union and negotiated a bonus agreement into their contract. Do not get me wrong I have even less sympathy for the owner as he exploits the situation and if it was carried over to us main business he would be on the wrong side of the employment legislation.

Two wrongs do not make a right. I am sure it will all be resolved before the start of the season.

Players negotiate their season bonus based on their last seasons success

It is carried out at every club in every league. The Toon finished 19th last season so based on that they have a strong hand fir negotiating a good bonus for the coming season

Ashley is not involved in any of these negotiations according to him and if you believe that then there’s no hope for you.

Should have been 10th Mick but we would probably have been better off finishing 19th in terms of getting rid of Jabba the Warehouse and his cancerous regime.

Aye, I've heard something similar.

But i wonder if that is a case of stories getting mixed up where last year he promised £4 million and then an extra £1 million on top of anything above relegation zone.

oh people wouldnt mix up stories to basjh ash surely

i dont think anything has been offered this season hence why they are striking

last season ash had to intervene .tis year i would think he is leaving it up to charnley and rafa who is in controll of all things footy
