    Jerry Mbakogu...

The player we were in for for a reported sum of 3-4 million has just been released by Carpi on a free.

Wonder if we will try and sign him now there is no fee involved?

I would love to know how much actual truth there was in the Mbakogu thing. Absolutely nothing on paper or in watching him made him seem any good.

It definetly had some truth because we formally wrote to Carpi that our interest has ended and won't be going after him. What I'd like to know is why did Carpi just throw him out? You usually don't end the contract of a player who could fetch you 2-3m, especially not in the lower leagues.

They tried to sell us a pup. And Orta probably would have bought it.
