Some of the media are linking us with a move for Hearts midfielder Ross Callachan,who it appears has fallen out of Craig Levein’s plans a transfer fee would have to be paid

We've got enough central midfielders as it is, this is not what we need right now. What we need is wide players, players that can offer something different in attack, not another body to compete with Grimshaw, Bigi, Rose, McHugh & Gorrin. If SR is seriously going after Callachan then we are in for a grim season.

I would have thought a defender was a priority. Are there any chance we could get Aldread back, am sure I heard a wee rumour about that one

I would think a center half would be first position to be sorted rather than sign yet another midfielder. We have enough midfielders to fill two sides just now without signing another. We need to get a CH by the weekend.

Our CEO has said that we hope to sign a defender before Saturday although its not guaranteed.
