I think that Casper, if he had not played for us and then "unfashionable" top division club Burnley, would have been capped for England.
Not really an out-and-out forward, wore number 10 shirt , touch of Cruyff about him. Think of Frecks, but left-footed and even better... yes, he was that good

We’ve had some decent ones in the past but often we lacked the support acts to make the best of their talents.

Good shout. I remember watching him get the only goal of the game 5 minutes from the end at Aston Villa in the FA Cup 4th round in 1968.
Sadly died quite recently. I believe we had a tribute thread for him at the time.
Mark Robbins anyone, plus Bob Hoskins looked great with us.
