Lessons learnt are not to sign someone just for the sake of it like journeymen, mercenaries or freeloaders. We have in the past and had to suffer the consequences.

Pathetic! The last debacle at this level saw the embarrassment of our lowest ever points total and relegation conceded by November. Now we're trying to emulate that feat. 'Lessons learned...?', not a single one.
How can a club attain promotion and not invest to give themselves a fighting chance of staying there? Has anybody at RUFC ever done a cost/benefit analysis? Has anybody ever heard of one? We might have a splendid stadium, for our support levels, and for which TS has our eternal gratitude, but we're League 2 standard when it comes to recruitment, wage structure, ambition, forward planning, player development... Why?
We've come to accept we have no finances, yet two years ago we'd allegedly tabled £million+ bids. What's happened in the interim? Where has the money gone from Championship revenues, TV, Wembley, Sponsorship, Match days...? Have we really drained, frittered away or legitimately spent all those millions?
Of course football is an expensive business, of course we're one of football's minnows, of course we don’t want a return to the bad old days. But are we a poor relation - or a bankrupt one?
Sincere sympathies to Paul Warne, an honest, dedicated, hard-working, loyal, professional who deserves better and apologies to fellow Millers for the rant. Sometimes you just have to let off steam… if only once a year.
P.S. Please feel free to use this as the agenda for the stage-managed and choreographed fans’ forum later this month.

PW on #deadlineday | "The latest update is I don't think we'll get any permanents through the door. We've tried desperately to do that but other clubs haven't been able to let lads out because they've not got people in. It's disappointing but we're hopeful on a loan in 24hrs."
