    Pass the panic button

    Oh dear.

Six competitive games and we've been acceptable for two - and one of them against Edinburgh City.

We started last season with two losses but after the Dingwall win we turned things with three winnable home games. Win or lose at Livingston (and few would back us) Rangers and an in-form Hearts are two of the next three...so we'll have - at best - three points from five matches having not faced Celtic or Aberdeen yet.

There's plenty time to turn things round but it's seriously worrying sign were under this much pressure three months after a midtable and double cup final season.

    That was a disgrace today.

Johnson benched for the ineffective 'Right Said Fred' yet again

Campbell and Tait hooked early second half

    Hopeless attacking play

We lose to an awful side who came and set up for a draw but waltz away with the win.

That is just not good enough at all.

Our next two league games are against Rangers and Hearts. Needless to say we are getting nothing from those games.

We are in serious trouble even at this early stage.

Have to add, for those who offer that "it's all good cos we lost the first two games last season" as a reason not to worry, I'm sorry but the two situations are not the same.

Last season we had a solid, if uninspiring, League Cup group campaign, had Louis Moult up front still to regain full fitness and our first two losses were against Rangers at home who we should have taken a point from and a bad defeat in Perth where we imploded and ended the game with 8 players. In between those games we had a massive win in the cup at Ross County which gave us reason to be hopeful and had three home games coming up against County, a Hearts side in turmoil and a Killie side also out of sorts. This year we have lost 3-0 to a Hibs side in first gear then lost at home to a truly dismal Hamilton team playing for a draw. Add to that, two of our next three games are against a much improved Rangers side and away to a Hearts side who have started the season well and just beaten Celtic. There is a very realistic possibly that we will be rooted firmly to the bottom of the table by mid September.

Sammon and Main do not work together. There is no indication they read each other’s play and they are static waiting to see what is happening when the other gets the ball. Miller and Bingham played through our defence by a good interchange of passes before Hartley gave away the foul leading to the free kick from which the guy scored the rebound. Our pair of strikers could still be out there and would not be capable of producing that sort of interplay. Maybe Johnson will be the answer but it will take him time to get up to speed. No doubt our manager will refer to the number of crosses but the vast majority were poor. I can think of one Aldred header that required any sort of save. None by either striker tells its own tale. A very poor start to the league campaign. It needs to improve.

Same old problems exist.1 appears nothing planned for throw ins, free kicks or corners.
2 some players frightened to put in full hearted tackles
3 players who you wouldn’t trust to cross a road never mind put a cross into the box.
4 players failing to realise the importance of passing a ball into space rather than to the feet of a player with
with his back to goal and two defenders marking them
5 Wide players who can’t pass an opponent get to the bye line and either put in a cross or cut the ball
back for someone to run onto.
6 players with no heart, desire and creativity
7 a manager who has to find his strongest starting 11 and fast
8 if that all fails then find enough money to bring back Moult at least on loan
