I'm not complaining about OAPs, no issue at all with OAPs, I'm just saying that OAPs are adults and should pay as adults to allow concessions to be given to more needy elements of the community.
By the same token pupils at Secondary School are called students so they should be charged student prices rather than under 18 prices.
What I was trying to do was encourage the club to introduce a five game ticket which would encourage Dundee fans who could not manage/afford all the home league games to attend some of them at a reduced cost compared to the normal PATG price.
Older posters on this forum may remember purchasing a 6 timer or a 12 timer for the Central baths in Dundee. A 6 timer or 12 timer worked out cheaper than paying each time you went to the baths.

    Seriously? Semantics in the extreme.

I could debate the various definitions of the word student with you but it seems pointless as you'll simply pick the one that suits your ridiculous attempt at making a point.

Secondary school pupils are...…………… school pupils because, well because they're at school.

Pupils at secondary school between the ages of 16 and 18 quite rightly get under 16 prices as long as they prove they're still in full time education. Students also quite rightly receive a concession on presentation of a valid matriculation card as they are also in full time education rather than full time employment.

We need to stop people going to places like that instead of Dens Park. I remember the central baths but as I had responsible parents that didn't want me getting Polio I never became a swimmer.

I suggest that you tell Scottish politicians and the BBC that School pupils are not called students because that is what the BBC and Scottish politicians continually call them.
Why should someone still at Secondary school aged between 16 and 18 years old qualify for Under 16 prices. That does not make sense.

I remember in 1962 getting a sugar lump containing a vaccine to prevent me getting Polio as there had been a Polio outbreak at that time.

Politicians are all self serving egotists and I want nothing to with them so I'll pass on part one. The BBC is run by politicians.

Because someone still at school and in full time education can't work and is still a school pupil rather than a college or university student.

I also got the sugar lump but would have been about 1969 / 70. However both in the early and the late sixties and despite the vaccination programme people still got polio as I'm sure you know.

OK, I'm a bit scared of the water too. Think I drowned in a previous life.

99.9% of people that drown can swim.

Most people who can't swim go nowhere near the water.
