    That's a pretty feeble excuse for defending dons fans singing huns and tims songs. Yes songs are adopted but also adapted to fit the team. The songs referred to are word for word from the sectarian songbook

    The chicken supper song is absolutely a hun thing. It’s also nowhere near as good as the Lord Mountbatten song if Irish politics is your thing (it shouldn’t be)

    Well, if we are to be pedantic, Stand Free, was allegedly originally a Chelsea song..........

    It was then sung by the casuals in the 80s, then taken over by the majority.

    I can confirm that Stand Free was sung by us in the 70s which doesn't mean it wasn't a Chelski original, but it pre-dates the casuals.

    Oh we used to sing the other version in the earlier part of the 70s but thankfully desisted.

    I remember this argument a couple of years ago.

    Someone came up with a clip of a game from ages ago when you can clearly hear Stand Free being sung.

    It was a surprise to me, I thought it was the 80's

    I first recall hearing it at Gayfield either 78 or 79 and I dinna think that was the debut.
