Our new free scoring plan will mean that our two central wide players will offer less cover to our fullbacks. BUT they still have to do their fair share of tracking back and defending the oppositions attacks down our own flanks.
However what It will mean is that our fullbacks will need to be decent defenders first our all and any attacking flare will be a bonus.
Its obvious that Nyom is not up to his primary task of defending, although in fairness often makes surging runs down the flanks. Unfortunately if our wide players are also involved showing for the overlap our pedestrian central midfielders never have the energy to cover for them.
SO YES Please get a full back who can defend,
Ie stop crosses into our box, guard the back post, clear the ball up the pitch when needed, and have an have an awareness to know that when the opposition are around our box you should actually be there as well! Mr Nyom

Ward was linked with us either last summer or january when apparently he was after new contract.

I don't if he got that contract but when he was last linked i remember thinking it could be a good signing as he is a good defender and can get forward.

Anybody know how townsend did yesterday after coming on ar ht?

I couldn't get radio commentary as dab had vile v wigwam. So just waited for the goal horn whilst listening to boro v blose on fm.

That goal horn is horrible to hear when you are holding a lead , and it was when the vile won in injury time.
