Modern artificial pitches have advanced a lot since the blaze style.
A good 4G pitch is very good (for the amateur / semi professional), don;t know if it makes a difference to professionals.
The black rubber pellets are on the pitch to provide more "give" when players are changing direction.
Incidentally
I would say that if they are to be used, there should be a more stringent basis of the quality utilised.“One of the things we know about Spain and France and Germany and others who are good at football is that they have a lot more artificial grass pitches than we have,”
Fitba should be played on grass.
Or, as an alternative, grass.
A bit of useless information for the pellet debaters amongst us...black pellets are a lot cheaper than the green ones which should really be used on these artificial surfaces.
Two goalkeepers have multimillion dollar cases in court just now but there are many more. The theory is keepers are more at risk
Its do with the crumb rubber being made from recycled tyres which have toxic chemicals
Can of worms if its proven
