We always seem to get a home draw in this comp!

5 goals and a comeback win, what's not to like.

Regarding my comments elsewhere on this thread here's my take on it.
Firstly Dundee United should be aiming to win every match they play in every competition.
But...... this is not a Major trophy and imo we are right to use it for the youth squad. We shouldn't validate it by playing the fists choice team. Consequently for me it doesn't matter if we get put out by Killiecrankie Kilmarnock Cupar or Tayport. Of course I want us to win it though.
There is only one competion that matters and that's the one we need to finish first in. The league. To those who say my view suggests I feel its beneath us, no, that's not what I'm saying. No angst, just common sense imo
    Cheers Stoke.
My comment wasn't aimed at a particular person, more to do with a general disgust from our supporters at our participation in a cup competition and while I agree we shouldn't prioritise winning it we shouldn't completely dismiss it, especially when we are playing youngsters and fringe players.
As for the game majority of it was brutal. We were the better football team but overplayed and allowed St Johnstone colts to score from basic errors (just like the first team) Add to that a 20 minute wait at H/T for a coke and the stench of a honking fart while waiting in the queue.
Good fightback at the end however and possibly one of the worst refereeing decisions I have ever seen when the St Johnstone goalie dived on top of our forward outside the box and the ref gave them a freekick.
