We beat Wet Spam 5-1 in front of 20,000 people. They had a player in the side named John Dick and Harold Shipman stood on the Spion Kop.
Well I'm bored................

Bugger. Why did I have to get born in the close season?
Notts 2-2 Man U for me. Penultimate game of the 74/5 season.
The day after I was born we drew 1-1 at home to Torquay in division 4 in front of 7500. Brian Bates scored for us, 17 years later I played under Brian at college who was the college team manager and head of PE!
The day after I was born we won away at Burnley, playing in the old Division 2 - https://www.11v11.com/matches/burnle...t-1979-118932/
looks like it was a pretty crappy season after that though. I take no blame!
I was born on a Wednesday morning in November 1962 and my dad was there. If had been a Saturday and Notts were at home then he wouldn't .
ps. I remember buying a programme of eBay a few months ago and saying to my son that's who Notts played the week I was born. I will have to check when I get home from me jollies. I'm sure nobody will be interested by then if there ever are now.Not to sure i will either.

Bloody hell gumpy, I typed in the day that you were born and got exactly the same result! Coincidence or what?
At least the "Harold Shipman stood on the Spion Kop" reference explains why the attendance was logged as 20,000 but only 19,999 were counted leaving the game.
Couldnt possibly comment on what year it was, but we won on the day I was born. Dont think we have ever won on my birthday since.
I vividly remember that 2-2 game v Man U as well. I remember they'd pulled up some wooden fencing from somewhere, and were carrying the pieces like spears. Didnt they climb up the floodlights too?
