This was going to be my answer if I was purely answering the thread.

Sadly, I'd have to agree with Ranat for my realistic answer.

It will be somebody who will not demand spending money, somebody who says nothing to spoil the narrative.

I need my marriage to NUFC spiced up a little otherwise this trial separation will end with me filing for divorce.

Newcastle United will carry on whether it's with Rafa or Fred Bloggs.
Rarely is anything ideal at the club.
All my life it's been a rollercoaster.
All my life it's been one board or another up for the chop with fans.
All my life it's been managers who are revered for 5 minutes and then jumped on (not literally) for another 5...and so on.

On occasions we get in a sort of messiah. A manager that we look up to for some higher hopes and then it fizzles out to be replaced by a manager that simply will not be allowed to fill the boots of the previous messiah.

And then that manager will walk or be hounded out and he will be replaced by a new hope...but not a messiah type.

And so on and so on.
That's how us fans work...and not just us Newcastle fans either.

The only time we won't have a new manager is when we don't have a club to manage.
No matter what we have at this club, it works as a club. It might not be everyone's cup of tea for a season but it will certainly be one for another. It's just a case of what presents were delivered and how well they work.

the truth is we got rafa
ash will get top managers when he is paying top dollar

rafa is on record with lascelles backing ash

you may get a few who think throwing millions at a player is the way to go

    but ash proves it isnt

these players we have will finish top half

    under rafa or anyone else

i once put up a thread listing loads of managers as good if not better than rafa
who would all bite ashlys hand of if offered the job
just to use us as a stepping stone
    just like many players have

If anyone could get us in top half with this team, why did we have relegation battle after relegation battle with managers like carver pardew and mclown?
