Thread: Good starts for Under 18 and Under 23 teams

I'm looking forward to seeing Vydra on Thursday and hope he plays in the number 10 position instead of Hendrick.

Vydra won't be eligible on Thursday I don't think because he was not registered for the first leg.

I'm unsure about that. Bit daft if he wasn't!

Never mind their fans Sub, they can't afford to pay the players, our star midfielder had just left to join a National League club. That's the best goalie in the league, and possibly the best midfielder, both gone a week before the season starts. And it was all looking so good.

It's used as an excuse occasionally OC but it doesn't make sense to me. In this day and age, with such coverage and analysis of every game, is there anything about any of our players that the opposition isn't aware of, or any surprise ever in the way Sean sets his team up, or in the way they play ?

I'd say no, no and no.

sinkov---this is so typical of the way that non-league football has gone --as we have discussed previously. Such a shame and you are left to carry on and make the best of it ---not easy!!

In this case Sub I don't know why they ever thought they could keep this lad at Clitheroe, he's captained Leeds United Youth team, been on Rotherham's books, played for Guiseley and Altrincham, way above our level. He was always going to get a better offer than we could pay him. They must have known this was likely, and hopefully they have a replacement lined up.

This new management team say they can win this league with the budget they've got, this departure shows they probably can't. There are a couple of lads already here who can fill in, but they won't win the league with them. Will they settle for one of them, or aim high again ? We'll see.

Can you not recruit anyone from the Gawthorpe Black Hole sinkov?
