and Exeter have scored 5 in 2 including 3 by new signings who have yet to gel plus a new manager.
The problem is that, like Forte, we will never actually know if he was fit or not when excluded.
Nolo clearly had a set team in his noggin last season, and it worked up until the humiliation at Swansea....once the wheels fell off, he was scouting Europe for the Lone Ranger not realising that certain players, that he had overlooked most of the season were still on the payroll....he referred to Forte a few times as being injured "doing the housework" which I found odd and remarked about at the time ie he seemed to be extracting the urine out of a player who ultimately got us into the play-offs at least, and went on to score in his debut for top-of-the-table Exeter.
I still back Nolo to do a job long-term at Notts....but sometimes he can be mightily stubborn. Here is the Exeter manager talking about Forte...
Exeter City striker Jonathan Forte will be available to make his debut on Saturday after injury concerns.
The 32-year-old was forced off at half-time in City's final pre-season game with a suspected broken hand, but X-rays have confirmed no fracture.
"When you lose someone at half-time in any game you're worried about the outcome," boss Matt Taylor said.
"He's a tough lad, he wanted to play on last weekend, but the right thing to do was to get it checked out.
"He's trained all week with no problems so he's one of four good centre forwards and four good options I have at the top end of the pitch," he told BBC Sport.

Depends who you believe I guess, I think he would have been out the door in January had he not been injured throughout that month specifically and needed to see a specialist though.
I know Durham seems to think Nolan will only play people he likes for the sake of it but he used Milsom when he first came in, I see no reason why he wouldn't have played him more if he'd been fit once Ryan Yates had gone to S****horpe but before then there would have been no reason to start him imo.
Yes I did see the interview Delroy, not just the once either, Nolo made his "Forte jokes" a couple of times and tittered about it....I posted on here at the time that I found it odd.....he also went on to admit that "Forte had proved him wrong" when he started knocking the goals in at the end of the season......wrong about what? Forte clearly wasn't injured but Nolo was out scouring Europe for a Nile Ranger lookalike!!....Nolo ended up playing Forte because he had no other option, he wasn't injured and banged in the goals that got us into the play-offs. simple as.
You have your opinions, I have mine....Nolo has his favourites IMO, and if you ain't in his good-books you might as well look for another club unless you like warming the bench.
I agree with you mate, Milsom was our best player followed closely by Husin. Like I have said before, we sat next to you that day. What I don't understand though is why your Milan season ticket holders are better placed to say who is a good player and who isn't. We all can judge what's put in front of us whoever we support.
