    Lewis Ferguson Tribunal

I see the Hamilton Chairman is now saying they valued Ferguson as £1.2 Million

Hamilton Academical chairman Ronnie MacDonald says that, if a forthcoming tribunal lets Aberdeen sign Lewis Ferguson on the cheap, it will make him question the value of investing in their football academy. The Dons have offered only £100,000 for the 18-year-old midfielder while Accies value him at the £1.2m they receive from Wigan Athletic for James McCarthy in 2009.
Even comparing to James McCarthy, he had played 95 games for Hamilton, scoring 13 goals, compared to Lewis Ferguson's 13 and 0
McCarthy also spent his whole youth at Hamilton, whilst Ferguson looks to have been about 4 years in Hamilton's youth set up
McCarthy made his debut at Hamilton at 15, whilst Ferguson was 18.
McCarthy was also not out of contract, unlike Ferguson.

There's a formula in place I think, so it will be interesting to see what the result is

How dare Hamilton attempt to influence the value that they receive as compensation.

Its not going to be £1.2M.
    Its Showmanship, thats all.
If they valued him like that when he was at the club, they would have had him on a much better, longer contract.

good reasoned post , you will receive criticism, your not really allowed to post this way ,
however he has played well above expectations since arriving here we maybe should have left him playing with 21s until after tribunal as they are obviously pinning their hopes on his most recent performances

Good reasoned post aye okay. Hamilton have the right to place any value they like in fact anyone selling anything has that right suppose you’d sell your house for a below what you believe it to be worth.

Next you’ll be telling us that we should accept 500k for McKenna and that we should t be anywhere near 10m

I believe there is a formula that’s defines the value.
I also read somewhere that they go with whoever has set the closest value to stop massive undervaluing and over valuing of players.
In essence to hope that the clubs are close to an agreement.
